Latest addition to our collection: Untitled by Alberto Castillo Ku, 1920 – 2010, Yucatán. Castillo became friends with Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo in Mexico City in the 1940´s. After a period in Acapulco and the United States, he returned to his family home in Mérida where he lived until his death.
Caras en la multitud (faces in the crowd)…
For some reason I was seeing animalistic faces in the strange scars on the trunks of these trees.
Arte en movimiento….
This is our special needs pitbull, Kenya. She is fiercely protective of us and completely dependent on us for mobility. Her left leg had to be amputated 4 years ago due to damage from neglect in her first few months of life. The right leg was so badly broken that it had to be fused. She refuses to use the mobility wheels we had specially made. If you could see the contraption you would understand why! She’s stubborn, likes to sleep late (like me), loves the sand and surf, and is a major joy in our lives.
Update: December 2022. Sadly, our Kenny left us, approximately two years ago. So happy we have this snippet of her enjoying the surf. Love you forever sweet girl.
